Dangerous electric hot water cylinder

I was called out to this job because the hot water tank kept tripping the electrics. We discovered the cause of the faults was a dodgy immersion heater. While we were at this job, we couldn’t help but notice the fact that the floor had completely sunk, which caused the cylinder to lean at a steep angle which poses the risk of falling over. We advised the customer and quickly began work to replace the water damaged floor under the cylinder.

I immediately installed the new flooring for the cylinder to then stand on nice and flat so it was much safer for the customer.

In this image I used one of my tools to identify the gap between the tool and floor as it showed a dangerously big gap as it had sunk into the flooring, this could have led to a more major problem but thankfully i acted quick to sort this out.
